Successful candidate must have an extensive background in one or more fields of RF/MMW engineering, RF Power Amplifiers, and/or Radar Systems.  The candidate must exhibit expertise in designing, analyzing, and testing complex active Radar/RF systems in order to implement solutions which will meet complex customer requirement in a timely manner.  Candidate must be proficient in amplifier and RF subsystem design as they impact the performance, manufacturability, reliability, maintainability and supportability of RF/MMW systems.  In particular candidate should have demonstrated experienced in: 

  • RF Power Amplifier & Related RF Circuit Design including Filters and Matching Networks.
  • RF Amplifier/Module Construction Techniques such as MMIC's, Substrates, Wirebonding, and Eutectic Die Attach.
  • RF Simulation Tools such as AWR Microwave Office, HFSS, Ansoft, and Sonnet.
  • Operation of RF Test Equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), RF Signal Generators, Amplifiers, Power Supplies, etc, and their application to  system measurement techniques
  • Performance Analysis of RF Amplifiers, Circuits & Subsystems such as loss/budget linearity, dynamic range, noise analysis, etc

Candidate will often define requirements through interactions with customers, hardware, software, test and component engineers, systems engineers and program managers.  Candidate will also support the development of roadmaps for future technologies.  Candidate must also be capable of developing sound technical, cost, and schedule data in support of proposals and on-going contract activities. Candidate will have significant customer and team interaction and leadership responsibilities in this senior technical role.  Candidate must have strong presentation and proposal skills and will be responsible for presenting technical data to the customer and internal team meetings.  Good knowledge in IP issues and a record of patent generation and exposure to an exciting entrepreneurial environment is preferred but not required.

Other required qualifications include:

  1. PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Closely Related Discipline with 7 years work experience, or Masters Degree in same field(s) with 15 years of experience
  2. United States Citizenship and ability to obtain secret level clearance required.
  3. Excellent interpersonal & presentation skills.
