Recent growth has lead to a need for a Mechanical Engineer at our headquarters in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications.

• A BS or higher Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Entry level to 5 years experience
• A working knowledge of Solid Works or Equivalent Solid Modeling tools coupled with the willingness to convert to using Solid Works. Experience with MATLAB desired.
• A working knowledge of core mechanical engineering principals in fluid dynamics, heat transfer and structures.
• Experience with finite element analysis for structural and/or thermal analysis
• Preference will be given to engineers with knowledge of optics and optical mounting.
• Work precisely with close attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills.

The candidate will be involved in the design fabrication and test of mechanical systems and mechanisms developed in a research and product development environment.
