Millimeter-wave
Loea 2500 Wireless Radio Available Now
Trex Enterprises and its subsidiary, Loea Corporation, were the first in the Nation to seek and gain access to the 71.0-76.0 GHz and 81.0-86.0 GHz range. As a result, Trex/Loea were the first in the Nation to create a powerful wireless high-bandwidth, high-speed radio transferring more than 1.25 Gbps. The reliability rate of our point-to-point wireless radio is 99.999% weather available at link distances of 2 km. No other free space communications technology can support this claim at gigabit per second
data rates.

Multi-Functional Antenna
Trex Enterprises is developing a ruggedized, broadband, multi-function antenna comprised of multi-sections and remotely mounted multi-couplers to mount on a Humvee and/or other military vehicles.
Our ruggedized multi-functional antenna is part of the Mobile Modular Command Center (M2C2) program funded by the Office of Naval Research. Trex Enterprises is working with a consortium of technology firms on this project.
- Single “umbilical” antenna cable from inside of vehicle to roof
- Rack mountable cable breakout box and multicoupler (4U or less)
- Low power consumption (less than 150W)
- Common unified location for connections between radios and antenna system
- Standard connectors for all cables
- Antenna performance (gain and signal pattern) similar to existing multi-antenna solutions
- RF performance for VSWR, gain, power handling, impedance matched to radios capable of field trials
Lasercom
Trex Enterprises pioneered the field of high data-rate laser communications. Our engineers have demonstrated 1.2 Gbps data rate communications over a mountain-top distance of 150 kilometers with a terminal mounted on a platform simulating the vibrations and motion of an aircraft. We have successfully demonstrated acquisition and tracking from a low altitude aircraft transmitting information to a ground site at a 25 kilometer range. Most recently, our engineers have successfully integrated a gyro-stabilized gimbaled platform with high bandwidth steering mirrors and multiple CCD arrays to demonstrate pointing and tracking accuracy of less than 5 microradians root-mean-square with a bandwidth of greater than 300 Hz.
Fiber Optic
Today’s communications networks demand reliable, flexible and cost-effective network equipment that can also predictably meet tomorrow’s needs for performance and cost.
At CrossFiber, Inc., we are developing breakthrough optical networking gear, with these network needs in mind:
- Carrier-class reliability
- Flexible utilization of network assets
- Lower network capex and opex
- Modular, scalable, high-performance network elements
